  1. Back in the late 1970’s I bought a kit for a Duplex 575 .This got built and sailed for many years. Mainly on the village pond etc. Move on until last year. Facebook free ads and a part build 575 but a later kit by Lesro. This I duly purchased from a very nice lady in Romsey. Yesterday evening I took it down to my local water in Gosport for a second outing after a not to successful first outing. What great fun. A pretty little boat and very low tech so easy to sail. Are there any more still sailing or any other long lost kits etc. it’s always nice to share our memories of past good times. Martin Tigg
  2. Phone Mike Western and ask him. He is a real nice guy.
  3. Not many transmitters allow this feature. One of the best it the Frsky Taranis models. Also the 4 channel receivers are small and not to expensive. Have a word with T9 hobbies who are very helpful.
  4. This was the 2nd AGM I have attended and I had a great time. Lots of things to see and buy. Good company (thanks Chris) and a good venue. The buffet lunch was laid out and most enjoyable and the AGM it’s self was short ,to the point and not too much waffle. well done all.
  5. Does the rudder servo work ok. Sounds like no radio link.
  6. Hi Eric. I did one not long ago. If you pm me with a phone no I will gladly give you a bell and explain how I did it.
  7. Hi. If your radio system has exponential then use that. Fine course changes at central stick movement. Massive rudder movement when the stick goes all the way. It is used by 3D flyers etc.
  8. All sorted now. Thanks to all.

Hi all Sedici sailers. My boat was made in 2017 and is hull no 018. After a collision I have found that the plastic mast foot is broken. It has a small lug that fits into a recess inn the hull step. Does any one know of a uk supplier as it is a pain going to Spain and I expect it will be expensive. thank you in anticipation. 10. Unfortunately non of us are getting any younger. With age come experience but the poor old body lets us down eventually. Not many of us will play football again. It’s the way of things. Do what we can while we can and when we can’t accept we have to do something else. Sail a slower class. DF 65’s or lasers. Please enjoy what you can and remember the alternative to what you can do now is not a good option.
  11. Hi Mike. I have had3 IOM’s. On all the rudder tube was stuck in after the hull had moulded and not part of the basic lay up. It is not part of the hull basic structure so don’t think it is affected by this area of the rules. I would still use delrin for the reasons I stated I my first post. On my current boat a V9 it has a gland at the top with an o ring to stop water working up and into the hull. I just put a thin wipe of silicone grease on the rudder shaft to lube it and aid water resection.
  12. I would use Delrin. It can de machined and will take a course thread. Try EBAY. That is we’re I get mine.
  13. Hi, Try Mike Ridley at model radio workshop. He is very experienced and knows just about every rc system ever made.
  14. I have read the instructions for the smartwinch and from my understanding of it the travel limiting is done at the sheeted in end of the travel. This in my option is not good as it will give a very distorted curve to the travel. For better to do it all on the tx epa,s. Then program and curve you may want. As far as protecting the the sheet lines etc. If you are worries put a weak lint in somewhere. Use a fail safe on your setup or fit a 2anp fist in the battery circuit. Use the smallest pulley you can and limit the travel as little as possible with programming as this will cut down on the resolution and holding power or the winch. Ask someone who flies large model planes or better still gliders. Mechanical set up is the most important thing to get right first.
