Cancellation of 10 Rater Ranking Events 27th and 28th April 2024

It is with regret that London Model Yacht Club has to announce the cancellation of the 10 Rater ranking events scheduled for 27th and 28th April. The water level in the Round Pond is unexpectedly low and while the Royal Parks are investigating the issue, they cannot provide a guarantee that the level can be returned to normal levels by the weekend.

We are taking the decision now to cancel to allow those 10 Rater skippers who have entered or are planning to enter to make alternative arrangements for this weekend. LMYC will be running club racing in IOM’s this Sunday ( 28th) and all are welcome. The current water depth does not allow us to set a fair course for 10 Raters. We will be in discussion with Hugh McAdoo to see if re-arranging these events may be possible later in the year.
