2026 Midland District DF 95 Race 1, Manor Park RSC, results.

14 Skippers arrived to a steady A Rig easterly breeze at Manor Park RSC for round 1 of the Midland District DF 95 series. With the course set from right to left, the first race started promptly at 10am with Paul Midleton (06) from Fleetwood setting the pace and taking the win closely followed by Dorian Crease (683), Both skippers would continue to show consistency throughout the day that would pay off in the overall results. Rob Radbourne (88) started steady and continued to improve taking the win in race 4. With the coffee break over it was Neil Web (40) who took the win in race 5, there were race wins for Graham Whalley (16), Bill Culshaw (21), Mike Read (350) and David Nickerson (365) finding his form later in the day and winning race 15 and 17.

Following Lunch with 8 races completed the rain started to move in and the shifts that Manor Park RSC is renowned for came into play. The Upwind legs became a real challenge with a missed shift easily costing places. But as anyone who has sailed at Manor Park RSC will know it’s never over till you cross the line.

As the afternoon progressed Dorian and Rob locked out the top 2 spots and were tied at race 16 when the 3^rd discard came into play, With the racing continuing till 3-00pm 18 races were completed and a final push from Dorian gave him the overall win.
