Steps for MYA Clubs Return to Sailing (England only) Initial Guidance 21st March 2021

In line with the announcement of the roadmap to easing of lockdown restrictions, the MYA is issuing their Steps for MYA Clubs Return to Sailing chart. This first roadmap is intended to show the potential steps and timelines for the resumption of activity at MYA clubs in England during the coming weeks and months. Separate versions will be published for Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

All clubs and members throughout the UK should ensure that they consider the following:

• Before considering the resumption of any activities each club should review their Covid Risk Assessment to ensure compliance with the latest guidance and legislation nationally and locally.
• Any numbers quoted are a maximum and the MYA anticipates that most clubs may need to start at a lower number, review their activities and if safe to do so increase up to the maximum depending their local situation, MYA advice is to be cautious and conservative on your resumption of sailing and to consider all factors including your own club members and the public who may be within your sailing locations.
