Eastern District ‘Worker of the Year’ award goes to Huntingdon Radio Yacht Club

At the recent Eastern District AGM on 2 November, as we neared the end of the agenda for the morning, it was time to award the district’s “Worker of the Year” award. Now ordinarily this would go to an individual, but District Councillor Vinnie Zammit announced this year he would like the award to go to a club rather than an individual.

So in recognition for Huntingdon Radio Yacht Club’s promotional activities (Sheringham Away Day, Cruising on the Ouse) and the support HRYC skippers have given to the district open meetings, and general support of the MYA, Vinnie proposed presenting this award to Huntingdon RYC and the District Committee was unanimously in agreement.

Andy Start communicated to the HRYC membership “we can be very proud of all of our efforts, well done all, I will bring the trophy along to our club AGM on the 19th November”.
