New Club in the Northern District – Welcome Dovestone Sailing Club

We are pleased to announce a new MYA Club in the Northern District.

The club currently has 11 MYA members sailing the DF95 Class. They sail at Dovestone Reservoir and have good facilities including a clubhouse with changing and toilet facilities, galley with seating area and bar with lounge area.

Dovestone Sailing Club was established in 1967, the same year the reservoir it uses was completed. It has been a community fixture since its founding, welcoming both experienced and novice sailors. Over the decades, the club has gained a reputation for its friendly atmosphere and strong sailing talent. In addition to local club events, its sailors have gone on to compete and win at the European and World Championship levels. We hope that the recent formation of a RC fleet will enhance the appeal of the Club and encourage more people to participate in the sport.
