Roy Cane – RIP

It is with much regret that we announce the death of our Club secretary Roy Cane, on the 23rd December. Roy was a member for over 20 years, Racing Secretary / Secretary for around 18 of them.

He re-joined the club in September 1999 after moving back to the Poole area with his wife Shirley on his retirement. He originally joined the club back in 1953 as a youngster, got married then moved to Kent to work for the CEGB as a planning officer.

Roy’s dedication to the post of Secretary was robust and he was a great organiser and planner. It was a job he loved doing.

We will all miss him and I miss him as a friend and colleague.
