2026 MD6MCS Series Results.

Event Overview
Race 3 of the Midland District series took place on Saturday 6th June, alongside Day 1 of the MYA 6M National Championships at Bournville RS&MBC.
Nineteen boats took to the water under the HMS heat system, with two fleets and a four-up, four-down promotion format. This made for a very different event for some of the less experienced Midland skippers, but all performed well. It was particularly encouraging to see some of the older club boats competing strongly against the modern carbon hulls in Bournville’s tricky conditions.
Thanks to Peter Moore and the entire race team at Bournville for delivering such an enjoyable event over the weekend. The racing was excellent throughout, despite the highly changeable conditions.

The top three Midland skippers in 3rd event of the series are:
• Shaun Holbeche (16) led the way, dropping just one point on the day.
• Simon Richardson (32) finished second.
• John Burgoine (35) finished third.

Looking Ahead
