2022 AGM of the Model Yachting Association

Dear MYA Members,

The Annual General Meeting of the Model Yachting Association will take place Saturday 26th November 2022 at the Dame Elizabeth Hall, Firbank Close, Bournville, Birmingham B30 1UA.

Trade show starts at 10:00
AGM Starts at 13:00

There will be tea, coffee and some sandwiches available.

The Trade Show that precedes the AGM and opens at 10am. It has representation from a number of the major trade suppliers, that will give everyone who attends the opportunity to have a chat, talk through some of the experiences you’ve had with your boats or equipment, have a look at most of the other classes that are in regular use throughout the UK. This year we have 3d printing of both boats and fittings very much in play and an ideal opportunity to talk those that are in the know. There will be “stuff” to buy as well, as there has always been, so again an opportunity to pick up items that you need.

In addition, there will be displays of DF’s, 36, IOM, Marblehead, 6metre and others

It will be good for all of us to meet up again and collect those items we’ve ordered or those bits that we have never got when we want them and to talk to those that are there, as there is a wealth of experience that we can all benefit from.

In line with the Constitution, we are announcing the Membership Subscription for 2023.

This will be £10 for adult Members and £0 for Juniors (below the age of 18 on 1st January in the subscription year).

As usual, all MYA Executive Officer positions will be available and nominations can be made by your club and will be voted into office at the AGM. If you want to be involved then speak to your club representative or District Councillor to put your name forward. Your vote counts, so please make sure you contact your Club representative who will be sent Council Officer nomination forms.
