2015 RG65 Open @ Woodspring

Eight skippers had an excellent days sailing at Woodspring’s very pleasant lake overlooking the Bristol channel. No rain all day & steadily increasing westerly winds made ideal sailing conditions.

The eventual winner was James Edwards with his brand new Brad Gibson design Electronica, but Mark Dicks’ mark II Sliver & the two Argons of Phil Holiday and Noel Donaldson were always closely in contention. The DF’s performed well especially as the wind increased.

With the RG65 Europeans only two weeks away many settings were tried and this proved to be ideal conditions for experimenting with new ideas.

Eighteen races were completed, all expertly managed by Sarah and her club support team, this was much appreciated by all the skippers.
