Paris Olympics 2024 – MYA connections

Most of us will be watching the Olympics over the coming weeks, many with a keen interest in the sailing.

Whilst looking at the sailing it might be of interest to know that the Olympic performance manager for Sailing Team GBR is Mark Robinson, a keen Marblehead sailor and Eastleigh MYC member.

Perhaps a little better known in Radio Sailing circles is Shaun Priestley, son of Derek our president. Shaun has made a career from coaching and will be in Marseille with regular sailor Adriana Penruddocke representing Bermuda, along with Julia Buesselberg from Germany who he will also be coaching at these Games.

This is great experience for sailors and coaches and fantastic achievement by Shaun and his sailors.

Good luck to all those competing at the Games, but especially to those who have a connection to the MYA…
