Obituary – Dave Holyoak. MBRYC.

It is with much regret that Market Bosworth Radio Yacht Club announce the death of our Club Treasurer Dave Holyoak. Dave has been a much-respected member of our Club for the last five years always willing to help others and a competitive sailor in both the IOM and DF95 classes at Club and Open events. Prior to joining MBRYC he sailed full size at Hollowell Sailing Club.

He will be much missed, and our thoughts are with his family. RIP Dave.

Unfortunately, we have some sad news.
We have just heard that one of our members, Dave Holyoak, after what we believe to be a short illness, sadly passed away on Monday 28th October. Dave has been a member of our club for some years and for the last 2 years was our treasurer.  Dave has been a great help particularly to of our new members helping them to set up their boats, and on the water, he was a fiendish competitor and a difficult man to beat.  You will find his name on all of our trophies.  Dave who was always at the front end of the fleet and a difficult man to pass will be sorely missed by all.
Our thoughts are with his family.
