North East Clubs 2007 Early Series Summary report
A total of 15 boats took part in this series which is an increase of one on the late 2006 series. This winter series was characterised by unusually mild weather and as usual the racing was tight between scratch starters and sailors having a starting advantage. Brechin was tricky with shifty winds initially then stong winds. Aberdeen was a light wind and very sunny affair and Buchanness true to form had boats on No 3 rigs.
Overall Ali Law won back the series trophy from Ian Dundas who finished second with Boyd Baird coming third.
Hopefully the experience gained with this series will encourage North East skippers to travel to some of the Scottish IOM Traveller events over the summer.
