MYA Scottish District IOM Travellers 2 (11th June 2022)
The MYA Scottish District 2022 IOM Travellers 2 was hosted by Buchanness RYC. Eight skippers competed on an eventful day with high wind conditions in stark contrast to the light winds at the Travellers 1 event hosted by Ayr Bay earlier in the year. In the morning, everyone sailed with the “C” rig having to deal with a significant chop and shifty winds. At lunchtime, the wind had sufficiently moderated for most skippers to change to their “B” rigs although at times when sailing downwind, it could still be a hand-full controlling the boats. Thanks to Buchanness RYC for an extremely well run event which was sailed with good humour and no protests delaying the racing.
