MDWCS 16-17 R3 Leicester Race Report

MDWS3 Leicester

A cold and frosty morning and a partly frozen lake, greeted 13 intrepid skippers. With a light breeze, and a single fleet we managed to complete 11 races.

The three beats , two reaches  and two runs with the leeward mark just short of the part frozen lake near the slipway made for an interesting course, but it gave rise to a close days racing for all.

Congratulation to David Alston sailing his V9, with his local knowledge and consistent finishing positions  he managed to hold off Mike Kemp to win the day, closely followed by Stephen Haywood.
