John White takes a close 2014 Radio A Class Veterans Nationals

A day that saw 6 different skippers take a race victory, finally saw John White take the 2014 Veterans Nationals from Chris Durant on count back.
It’s great to see John back sailing radio boats after a recent “relapse” back into full size!
The day was full of light winds and occasionally a mirror like lake. Lester Gilbert from the Scottish Buchanness club started the day with 2 firsts with a further 2 wins during the day. A total of 15 races where run at a steady pace giving the small but perfectly formed fleet a good days sailing.

The final race saw a tie for first place between Chris Durant sailing his Gun boat and John White sailing his Venom, both on 35 points only separated after count back in Johns favour with one more first than Chris.
