IOMMDCS&C 2019 R4 Two Islands RYC Results
Yesterday travelling down to Two Islands RYC the conditions were a little damp but you could see the brightness on the horizon, this we were all looking forward to as it was a very busy weekend of sport, so it was good to see 16 skippers ready at the breifing which was being conducted by Keith Coxon.
After having to cancel the event which was scheduled for Leicestershire RYC and not being able to find a replacement location due to the weed issues and the calender being full we were all ready to get back to District IOM racing. Keith called the competitiors to the line at 9:45am. The course for those of you who know Two Island RYC was a long start line almost parallel to the bay and the windward mark just off the island, all marks were rounded to port. After the first race Keith noticed that there had been a slight wind shift and he modified the start line slightly which was then the course for the rest of the day.
All 16 skippers were able to sail every heat as the host club had provided race observers, and from the outside view they did not need to call many times as the skippers were taking any penalty turns promptly and without complaint. The racing was conducted in a nice relaxed atmosphere and in good grace.
So thanks to Two Islands RYC for hosting the event and a copy of the final results are here: IOM MDCS 4 and Mac McCulloch Trophy
