GB skippers wins the GOLD CUP

UK skippers win top prizes in the Footy Gold Cup
Rob Vice won this most prestigious Footy event, held 2000 metres up in the Italian Alps against 26 competitors from 8 European nations.  His son CJ, finished third and won the Junior Trophy and his daughter, Hayley also a junior, won the top lady’s prize by finishing 7th.
Rob reports that “it was sailed in fabulous surroundings and with winds that varied considerably throughout the two-day event needing both the biggest and the next up from the smallest rigs.  This was the most competitive of these international events that he has attended, with 4 or 5 boats that could have won.  France and Slovenia were the ‘new’ countries entering this Footy Championship. Other UK entries finished 5th, 12th and 18th. ”
