Event Reports
Two event reports for you on this Monday morning.
First up from a couple of weekends ago we have a DF95 open event at West Lancs YC.
Alan Tickle writes –
“Most competitors had a challenge to get round windward mark because of swirling wind at a steady 10knt+, with everyone sailing in A rig. Alan Fernhurst and Alan Tickle both unfortunately had a few boat winch problems. There was a short rain shower about half-way through the racing but otherwise the day was dry. With the cold temperatures and wind chill factor everyone agreed to finish 20 mins early after 16 races had been completed. It was good to see for the first time at WLYC, competitors from Rudyard Lake SC and South lakes MYC and welcome back those from Birkenhead and Fairhaven plus WLYC.”
The next event is on Sunday 19th Feb 23 with racing starting at 10:00 until 15:00. This is valuable training opportunities for the DFTT On 4th & 5th Mar at WLYC (see the MYA Events Calendar for further details and entry.
