Eastern District Councillor

Vinnie Zammit has reluctantly decided to step down from the role of Eastern District Councillor.

On behalf of the MYA council and the members I would like to thank Vinnie Zammit for his service to the Eastern district of the MYA and the various roles that he has undertaken through out the sport over many years.

District Councillors

Our District Councillors are not appointed by the MYA council but at local level. The role is an important link between the clubs within the district, helping to encourage competition and discussion within their district. The role is also crucial in the communication between local clubs and the council. You do not need to be a competition skipper, this role is about communication and enthusiasm, with a bit of organizational ability and basic computer skills.

I know that the district is looking for a volunteer to take on the role, however, if you think this is something that you would be interested in volunteering for, please contact me or anyone on the district committee for a chat.
