At the 2009 AGM, the Technical Secretary outlined the criteria for the Chris Dicks award for the best innovative design and presentation of a Footy Yacht with simple construction, ease of building, well thought out rig and good sailing characteristics. Four designers submitted six entries with an exceptionally close outcome to be resolved by the judging panel. In third place was Pussyfoot by Nick Burden. Second Pipedream by Mark Dicks and the winner was Hotfoot by Nick Burden from Southwater Dabblers.
