Scottish District IOM Ranking Day 1

The usual friendly welcome and professional organisation greeted 40 skippers for the 1st day of racing. Although Ian Dundas and his team had covered almost all the bases, unfortunately his prayers to the wind gods had not been fully understood and only occasionally did the wind allow the traditional hard racing at Castle Semple to be seen.

The race team did a fantastic job in keeping things flowing and even with a period of no wind for aperiod around lunch they managed to complete 7 races.

The top 10 after the days racing were:

2: G Elliott- 19 pts

3: B Gibson- 22pts

4: J Tushingham – 22pts

5: M Roberts- 25pts

6: P Playle- 28pts

7: T Binks- 39pts

8: G Bantock- 43pts

9: R Walsh- 48pts

10: T Edwards- 52pts
