Some sad news received from our German friends with the passing of Janusz Walicki

I am very sad to have to inform you on the passing of Janusz Walicki.

With one RM and two 10R Worlds titles as well as a host of other international and national titles Janusz has been the most successful sailor representing Germany and DSV over the last 25 years. Other than his success as a sailor he will be remembered for his ingenuity and his Skalpel M and Partner 10R designs, which helped numerous skippers to successes throughout the World topped by back to back M Worlds titles by Guillermo Beltri in 2000 and 2002.

Janusz is survived by his wife Beata and his grown son Patryk.

He will be greatly missed.
