Watermead MBC RG 65 TT4, results.

Watermead MBC hosted the 4th round of the RG65 TT series on Sunday 22nd August.
The morning had light winds and overcast skies. There were lots of holes in the wind and this made the triangle course very challenging at times for all the eleven competitors.
John Brierley, Vernon Appleton, Dorian Crease and Peter Baldwin made the most of the conditions for the first few races. John Tushingham taking a few races to get used to the conditions before he began to dominate the top spot. Nine races were completed by lunchtime, so all had a well-earned rest before the afternoon races.
The sun came out and the wind became more consistent with very few holes, so the race for the top four places was being hard fought. The starts were still a challenge as the wind seemed to drop for the first few minutes of the start.
Racing finished after the 16th race allowing three discards and giving everyone time to travel home.
The results were John Tushingham 1st with 22 points, John Brierley 2nd with 39 points, Dorian Crease 3rd with 40 points and Peter Baldwin 4th with 41 points. This shows how close the second and forth places were. Afull set of results are here: RG65 TT4 Watermead MBC 22 Aug 2021
