Report: BMYC Training Day 17th Jan 2019.

Some thirty skippers pitched up to Powell’s Pool in Sutton Coldfield to be greeted by a cold and gusty NW wind.

After lunch and a briefing by John Bourgoine, they left the comfort of the clubhouse for the first of many practice starts that were videoed.

Returning to the clubhouse and after tea and cake John began the analysis of the starts and the short races with some interesting talking points and lively banter.

Team BMYC delivered a well organised, enjoyable and instructive day with many requests for a repeat performance later in the year.

We were pleased to welcome so many skippers from other midland clubs and we hope that this is the first of many gatherings that aim to enhance the skills of all the participants.
