What events are happening in February?

The season is getting busy. There are 3 IOM events, one in the south, Chipstead, one in the midlands Bournville and one in the north at Keighley. These are all part of a district series. The RG65 class has its first open at Two Islands and the second DF TT series takes place at the end of the month in Blithfield. Finally there is the second Marblehead Games event at Three Rivers and of course lots of club racing across the country.

The Entries are open for the MYA IOM, 10R and Marblehead National Championships as well as the DF65 National Championships. Entry and Notice Of Race are now available on the MYA Racing Calendar.

Its time to finish the winter maintenance jobs on the boat, brush up your rules knowledge, get on the water and hone those skills. Enter as early as you can for the events you want to attend so organisers know how many they have to cater for. Always remember our sport depends on the help of so many club volunteers so give them all the support you can.

Our sport is based on fun and enjoyment. Take it seriously by all means but at the end of the day it is the camerarderie, sportsmanship and the journey that matters most.
