2011 Radio A National Results after Day 2

Totally diferent conditions greated the skippers on Saturday with the constant westerly wind replaced by a shifting, light easterly. This suited some but locals Rob Walsh and Derek Priestley came to the waters edge with a sense of doom.

The race team tried manfully to keep things moving and set as fair a course as possible but the conditions made things very difficult for them and the skippers. As is normal at Fleetwood things didnt stay bad all day and by the middle of the afternoon the wind had swung through 180 degrees and filled in nicely, with some skippers even ditching their light weather sails.

The Fleetwood club put on a pie and quiz evening, with the skippers providing the questions for the quiz. Some interesting questions were given and even more interesting answers.

The positions after day 2 were similar but the overall leader by what appears to be a winning margin is Graham Bantock who has rightfully shown why he one of the worlds best skippers. Pete Wiles, Derek Priestley and Rob Walsh make up the top 4.

Top ten will be posted later.
