MYA Scottish District 2021 Wooden IOM Championship (Greenock)

The annual MYA Scottish District Wooden IOM Championship was hosted by Greenock MY&PBC at Murdieston Dam on Saturday 9th October 2021. For several days prior to the event the weather forecast consistently indicated very light winds. However, our luck was in and we had mid-#1 to #2 winds for the whole event. Despite the steady rain, the Greenock Race Team under RO Richard Rowan facilitated a superb day of very competitive sailing undertaken with great sportsmanship and camaraderie! The wooden IOM’s did their designers and builders full justice being both beautiful to look at and are also highly competitive.

The 2021 MYA Scottish District Wooden IOM Champion is Ian Dundas (Corbie 6) with runner-up Tich Summers (Buzz III) and 3rd was John Owens (Corbie 1).
