RM Nationals Day 2 & Final Results
A day of what Derek Priestley calls “Champagne Sailing” was had by all skippers at Fleetwood, with a good hard breeze straight down the lake giving some fanstatic racing and sailing in both fleets.
Unfortunately for those at the front Brad Gibson was in determined mood sailing his latest design and when you are discarding race victories in your score it can be said that he dominated the weekend!
The rest of the top ten was much closer with some good battles and fine 2nd & 3rd places for Graham Bantock and John Tushingham.
The top ten were as follows:
| Pos | Skipper | Club | Design | Score |
| 1 | Brad Gibson | Birkenhead | Grunge | 15 |
| 2 | Graham Bantock | Chelmsford | Prime Number | 47 |
| 3 | John Tushingham | Keighley | Starkers | 50 |
| 4 | Peter Stollery | Guildford | Crazy Tube Free | 58 |
| 5 | Rob Walsh | Fleetwood | Starkers3 | 73 |
| 6 | Martin Roberts | Birkenhead | Starkers2 | 91 |
| 7 | Richard Hampson | Birkenhead | Prime Number | 123 |
| 8 | Laurent Gerbeaud | France | Skalpel | 127 |
| 9 | John Cleave | Ryde | Skalpel | 147 |
| 10 | Agustin Moreno | Chelmsford | Prime Number | 149 |
It was great to see such a good turnout and also to welcome skippers from overseas.
Congratulations to the Fleetwood Club on hosting a good weekend and thanks to Chris Harris and his race team for giving up their weekend to allow others to go sailing.
