RACE REPORT

A very disappointing turn out for Round 4 of the Winter Series at Scarborough with a late withdrawal leaving only 5 boats coming to the start line.

Race officer Neil Thornton got 8 races completed before the lunch break and surprisingly, all boats were still carrying no.2 rig fairly comfortably but it all changed very soon afterwards when Storm Ischa announced its arrival and despite a valiant attempt, Paul Vale could no longer continue having no no. 3 rig in the sail locker to deploy.

With 14 races completed and an ever increasing wind and breaking waves, RO Neil made the sensible decision to finish the day earlier than planned which was welcomed by the fleet and very little damage reported showing just how tough these IOM boats are.

Roy Stevens topped the podium and moved into 3^rd place overall on the cumulative standings.
