Vane A’s day 2 – from a northern skipper
The northern skippers half of the fleet sailed this morning in light winds that allowed some skippers to test their guying techniques off the club house bank. First protest in many a year at a vane nationals, all very amicable with a re sail between Rob Walsh and Dave Geldard, which went to Rob. Dave’s 20 year old feather has just parted company with the vane, woodworm in balsa! It’s the southern half of the fleets turn this afternoon, sorry but the rain didn’t keep off for them. Having said that it’s a proper downpour tonight. Roll on tomorrow. Mervyn will update later with the day’s scores.
