2026 IOMMDWCS R4 Lincoln RSC results.

Yesterday saw 23 skippers at Lincoln RSC for the Midland District IOM Winter Champion Skipper series, this was round 4 of the 5-round series.
According to the weather forecast on Saturday, it was meant to be a 14 to 20 mph wind speed day coming from almost due South, with a prediction of a goods day’s sailing in B rigs.
According to Darin there was lots of rain and not as much wind as expected, but the results showed they were able to complete 9 races of 2 heats, so not bad considering.

Don’t forget to book in for the final round which is on 15th March, and the link for the MYA online entry system is here: Events – Model Yachting Association Great Britain
Following a discussion with Lincoln RSC about the qualifying events in the series, they have issued the following statement.
“The 2026 MDWS for IOM series results have been updated to include the results for the Clive Hand Memorial event at Lincoln in October. Due to a communication error on the Notice of Race and websites this event will count for the 2025/26 MD Winter series as well as the 2025 MD Summer series”.
This will be resolved for the 2026 season.
I would like to thank them for clarifying this and so I have rebuilt the IOMMDWCS series results to include the “Clive Hand” event as the first in this winter’s series and updated the rest of the completed events including the one from yesterday, 15th February.
The overall positions after 4 rounds are here: 2026 IOMMDWCS Skippers results after R4
Looking down the results there has been 53 different skippers representing 18 different clubs, and there are 29 Midland District skippers on the list, which is good to see the level of support that the series has generated this winter. Thanks to the efforts of the Lincoln RSC.
