2025 IOM ED Broads Trophy – Report and Results

Twenty-one skippers from Six clubs arrived for the Norfolk Trophy event on Sunday 21st Sept, third in the Eastern District IOM Series. Vinnie first set a Windward/Leeward course into the NW breeze with gates at both ends, after a few races with the breeze moving more to the north the course was changed to a triangle. Although the wind direction was reasonably stable the strength frequently changed from race to race leading to changes from No1 to No2 and back for some skippers and others wondering if they had made the right choice.

Racing was close throughout the fleet with six different winners. After Nine races only One point separated the Top Three. Many thanks to Vinnie, the race team and helpers for running the event and to all the competitors for making it a great day.
