2021 Midland District 6M Champion skipper.

Sunday 3rd October saw the final round of this year’s Midland District 6M champion skipper series at Bournville RS&MBC. Eight skippers attended which was good considering the week running up to the event had been really wet and the on going fuel shortage meant that some of the possible travelling skippers might have had second thoughts. Saying that the event was blessed with a bright sunny autumn day and the PRO managed to get 12 races away. The day was won by local skipper John Burgoine who achieved a 50% first place ratio, so congratulations to him. The full results are here: 2021 MD6MCS R4 results

The 2021 series champion is Shaun Holbeche who scored a total of 292 points from the possible 300 from the three counting rounds, congratulations to him. In second place was yesterdays winner John Burgoine with 240 points. His first event this year the boat was not measured but since then he scored a 5th, 3rd and finally 1st, so he looks like he will be in the mix next year.
