2014 MYA IOM National Championships- Final Countdown

The final countdown is on for the IOM Nationals this weekend at Datchet Water SC, located just off the M25, M4 and overlooked by HM at Windsor Castle this is has the potential to be great for competitors and visitors alike. For most this is the largest event in the UK calendar and with a final entry list of 76 skippers it is sure to be a great sight.

Visitors are welcome and the whole race course will be viewable from concrete hardstanding with easy access from on site car parking. Note there is an entry barrier which requires a ticket for exit but this is free to anyone entering and they are available from within the sailing club.

We would ask that all skippers download the emergency contact form and fill this in prior to registration.

Finally…..

All competitors are reminded that a life jacket/ bouyancy aid is required for launching (only) please bring along a suitable aid if you have one, if you do not have one there will be people available to launch your boat during the event but they may not be available on Friday.

The bank and surroundings are concrete and we recommend that you bring some protective material to lay your boat on during the event.
