2011 IOM MYA Centenary Nationals Championships- Day 1 Update

After a fantastic practice afternoon on Friday, the competitors were greated with a light NW breeze coming across the lake on their arrival for the 1st day of competition.

PRO Ken Binks and his team were forced to move the course to the opposite side of the lake and set an awkward course, the wind filled in during the day but the direction stayed mainly WNW creating shifty conditions. All but the very brave changed down to No 2 rig during the day with plenty of nose diving, the sailimakers within the fleet must have been licking their lips!

The difficult conditions tested all but as usual the cream rises to the top.
