10R National Championship 2026 – Possible Cancellation

The 10R National Championship 2026 is due to be held at Datchet on 19/20 September. This is a qualifying ranking event for the 2027 World Championship in Croatia .

The long dry period and drought conditions in London and the South East has put a huge strain on the reservoir and in the ten weeks since the IOM Worlds at Datchet the water level has dropped by more than 12 metres and is dropping at about 1.5 metres/week. There is no sign of any reduction in demand and Thames Water have no idea when they may be able to pump any water back in.

As things stand there is very little chance that the Championship can be held at Datchet but it could be held on the same weekend at an alternative venue if we can find one.

The Datchet team are trying to find an alternative and will announce an update as soon as one is available and issue a NOR, but if nothing is found by August 20th the event will have to be cancelled.
