At the 2012 AGM, the judges unanimously made the award, following a submission by the committee by the Gosport MYBC that indicated the contribution that he has already made, and continues to make, towards the design and development of model yachts and equipment, to their club member Mike Dann.
The trophy was received on Mike’s behalf by the Gosport Commodore Mervyn Cook.
