January 19, 20251 yr Hi - I am looking for a clinker built model yacht called Pat. She was built in Southwold, Suffolk 1920-1930 and was given as a gift to my father. Her hull is 25 inches long. I think she was sold at auction in the last few years. I am keen to find her and if her condition allows, sail her again in the Southwold Model Yacht Regattas again.

January 21, 20251 yr Have you thought of contacting Southwold Model Yacht Racing Club? I know that they still race models of local beach boats.

January 21, 20251 yr Might be worth trying the Vintage Model Yacht Group - sounds like the sort of model yacht they would be interested in.
January 21, 20251 yr Claire, I edit the Pondside Marketplace newsletter which goes out to all VMYG members listing any boats, books or other items members would like to advertise for sale within the Group. I have not been asked to advertise a yacht like Pat so I have no idea of its whereabouts but I could put a 'Wanted' advert in the next edition which should go out early in February. Let me know if you would like me to do this.

Pat was sold by Durrant’s Auctioneers in Beecles, Suffolk November 2020 or March 2021.
