November 25, 20232 yr Our club charges £10 for juniors but has few to speak of. I wondered if I might extend this topic to ask 'How clubs have tried to attract new members?' Do you have many young members at your clubs? If so, how have you engaged with them to hold their interest? Which boats do younger members tend to use? Is there any crossover from the yacht club to the model yacht club? I have seen some clubs in America offer introductory sailing days, and workshops to aid new members on maintenance and modifications but is there anything in the way of a scheme in the UK to get new members engaged with model yachting?
