Does anyone know where the following RG65’s are moulded.

Electronica

Uno

Scurry

have also looked at IVY from Vamsails, but ruled out on time for delivery (9 months +) and cost.

Electronica, only 2 built, no longer in production.

Uno, Vam in SPAIN, now replaced with Ivy.

Scurry, Alex Corry I think, not moulded a boat for a few years now.

RG class is massive in Europe, over 70 entries for French Nationals and over 40 for Dutch Nationals but struggle in the UK, mainly down to the lack of builders but a great size to 3D print.

Thanks for reply Graham, clears up a lot for me, been a hard search, probably found out more on Facebook sites. I imagine in a few years we may end up with one or two suppliers in the UK. I believe Dave Creed used to do a kit or a hull and fin as well, have used his fins before on IOM’s found them to be good quality. Have sent What’s app

Another question, does any one supply Skyshark 7PT tubing in 1050 mm in the UK again something available in Europe but hard to source here in UK, have even tried Benson Kites in Cornwall for this one

Sails etc. use the Sky Shark 7pt tubes in their rg65 rigs and also list tapered carbon tubes which are probably the same items. Worth an enquiry...

If you are looking for a Scurry and willing to consider a pre-owned boat, I may consider parting with mine, built by Alex Cory in 2017, little used. Located on the South Coast at Eastbourne.

£?

I was thinking circa £675, it's difficult to price but that is under half of what it cost me in 2017. 4 rigs A1 A2 B and C. Foils were by Robot I believe. Fitted with an analog  servo (low power consumption in idle) lever arm. Savox digital rudder servo. Sails by Catsails.

Contact by WhatsApp on 07548 875663 if interested to avoid cluttering up on here ;)

As an add on to the above, I had an email from Tim at Benson Kites re Skyshark tubing in longer lengths to try to make masts in one piece. his reply is below for anyone interested. Dont know if these tubes are usable on an RG65, or maybe to thick.........

Hi Andy, the longest I have is some old (used) Sky Shark 8P at 94cm, they're not pretty but structurally still sound.

The 8P were made specially for the Airbow kite and are extra stiff.

You can make them look nicer by sanding them in a drill with wet and dry paper.

Postage is £10.00

The rods will be £7.50 each...
