Radiolink AT-9S Transmitter

Featured Replies

I have a query to do with programming switches. This transmitter has lots of them but I want to set things up so that I can select either 100% servo travel or 80% servo travel for close hauled on channel 3, the sail winch but of course it could also be left throttle. I now that this is something you can do with a FlySky transmitter but I'm damned if I can see how to do it with this transmitter anywhere in the reams of instructions that comes with it so I thought I'd ask to see if anyone can tell me please?
Many thanks

Most Tx are designed for aircraft, and dual rate or exponential are frequently not available on CH3 Throttle - some make it available in Heli mode.

If you have an RMG winch, then the easiest way to get an exponential effect for fine control of close hauled, is by setting Scaled Linear Travel SLT) to single ended and then you can set how to scale the movement - I use about 25% for the close hauled setting.

If you have an arm winch and it is correctly aligned for close hauled, then you also get a built in scaled travel.

Hi John,

The winch is in a DF95 and my One Metre boats use Whirlwind winches!!

I completely understand that there is no need for an exponential throw for a throttle but I'll see if using a helicopter mode option might work. I really have no idea what I'm doing!! Its a pity because its seems relatively straightforward to do with a FlySky radio but as I have 15 boats set up on my AT9S then Im not about to change radio!!

Many thanks

"Helicopter mode" nearly always allow a "throttle curve", and indeed many "fixed wing" modes also have it, hope you find a solution.

Thanks John, all these options are really on the limit of my rc ability- I was sailing before computer sets and if the instructions aren’t really, really idiot proof then I can get lost very easily!!

I've just been reading the manual and in "ACRO" model type you can use either EXPO or Throttle Curve on the throttle stick. In the case of EXPO on the throttle channel it operates from the low position instead of the middle position in the case of aileron, rudder and elevator.

If you look at section 3.3.14 THR CURVE (ACRO) it lets you set a throttle curve "for each switch position" which I think will let you do the different "Sheeted in" positions that you want.

Thank you for reading and understanding it all in my behalf!! I must give it a proper go!!
