MPB Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 Hi I have been given a yacht which I think might be a Marblehead, I base that guess on being 50 inches long with a rig off deck measurement of 2150mm (excuse mixed units), looking at the invoice for the Futaba TX (Digital Proportional R/C System) dated 1979. This yacht has never been sailed or registered and the hull is devoid of builders marks. It has one rig but no M on the main My challenge is to work the future for the yacht so any ideas as to design, what I should do with it (its not for me) and any good home suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you Michael
Derek Priestley Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 h Hi Mike, Interesting home made winch system with the screwed rod limit switches. Many of us used a variation of this in the early days. If the hull is flat sided & bottomed, it could be a Vic Smeed "Genie" designed in the early 1970's Good luck with it. Derek
Trevor Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 Hi Mike i think you are saying you want to pass it on to someone else. I do enjoy working on unusual boats as well as sailing them. If you are not too far away I would be interested. I am in Tring. cheers Trevor
