GBR is right in my opinion. The second letter has a corner at bottom left which reveals it as a B (certainly not a 0) and the small piece of what's left of the first letter indicates the bottom of the vertical stroke of a G, which would also put the GBR nicely centred above the number whereas, if it was a 1 the ehole set would be off centre....

Yes! It's definately a VC2 (Venceremos mk2) or otherwise known as Syan after the very famous A class raced by Peter Maskell of the Leeds & Bradford club in the 1980's. Other famous models to this design are Corsario (my boat) WISIWIG owned by David Rose & Graham Reeves, and there wer several others owned by David Geldard Richard Costigan and Mike Harris, but the names have escaped me!! There were 2 fairly modern versions one all carbon (Evolution) sailed by Josh & Greg King, racing 3 weeks ago in the Vane A Nationals. Hope this helps.
