December 30, 20169 yr Happy New Year everyone,I am in the process of building my first IOM based the Brad Gibson's design plans for his "Alternative". The hull is finished and I need help in rigging the sails. Based on the weather conditions in Toronto, Canada I only need a #1 and #2 set of sails. I just received my sails from BG Sails and Design but unfortunately there were no instructions on how to mount the sails. I will be using the 11 mm OD and .6mm wall high tensile 7075 T9 aluminum from France for the masts. Can anyone provide me with the mast layout and prebend details for this combination sails and mast? I will be using a 3 wheel mast bender to apply the prebend.Thank you in advance for your help.Victor WongToronto, Canada
December 31, 20169 yr Author Hi Brad,Thank you for the e-mail and my sincere apologies for my urgency in getting the information. Considering all that you have done for both the RC sailing, both you and Victoria are entitled to some well deserved time off. Best regards and thank you again for the plans for the Alternative and your beautifully sails. All the best for 2017.Regards,Victor
December 31, 20169 yr Author Hi Brad,Just wanted to let you know that I completed my review of all the information that you have provided and I have everything I need to complete my IOM - Alternative with your wonderfully crafted sails and the high tensile aluminum masts from France. I look forward to seeing how well it performs in the spring against the other IOMs in our club. Best regards,Victor
