February 26, 20233 yr Maybe some people find it useful but I can't see anything in it that couldn't be put on the web-site (or is / should be already there). For my part I'd rather save the cost of producing and mailing (and the trees). Resurrecting the newsletter might be a more sustainable way to disseminate the articles / information.
February 27, 20233 yr Hi John, You are probably correct in what you say "I can't see anything in it that couldn't be put on the web-site" BUT not all members have, or want to use, the website. The yearbook is a very nice thing to look at, refer to, and is just another thing supplied by our hard working volunteers for the £10 subscription. Enjoy! Derek Priestley
February 27, 20233 yr The fast diminishing % of members without access to the Internet is a problem for many organisations and clubs. Of course many of the members without the Internet are long standing and important and their continued involvement is important and worthy of protection . I am sure the Committee are reviewing the numbers that are retained by keeping printed media because ( annoying as it sometimes is) a total move to the Internet will give a more up to date info and free up cash to allocate to other MYA projects Edited February 27, 20233 yr by ianrmcdonald
February 27, 20233 yr I have lots of access to the net but I like the yearbook because I find it much easier to see the events schedule that way. Obviously it goes out of date but I still appreciate it
