Having taken part in both IOM and RM veterans National Championships for the last few years, I consider that the MYA should have a minimum standard for the facilities available by the hosting club. Can I suggest and no particular order; Hard standing in the control area, easy launching and retrieval facility (especially for a RM with a Swing Rig on), Toilets, reasonable access for loading and unloading our boats and equipment and we don't need courses where a buoy is located over the horizon, I would rather do another lap. I am certain I am not on my own. Any other competitor who takes part in these events let's have your thoughts so we can make them better. Bill Culshaw. 21
