  1. Hi Ian. Sorry, I've only just seen your message. I've sent a direct email after being alerted by SRCMBC.
  2. GBR 5222 Ellipsis design by Frank Russell. Hull epoxy/glass finished in navy blue 2-pack polyurethane, deck wood with epoxy glass sheathing both sides. Built by very experienced builder. Measured with current certificate dated 18th September 2025 (corrected up to minimum weight with 250 grammes). Dave Creed fin, ballast and rudder, SW22HV winch and ‘A’ rig with Housemartin sails and PJ ball raced gooseneck – everything new at build. Single line winch system a la DF. Very little used – club race winner with great potential and a much-admired boat. For sale as I have to make room for another new build!! A virtually new boat for £725. I have suitable packing materials and can send it at cost. Just needs radio and battery to race. Located central South Coast. BH25 7BQ.

Thank you. Logical and as I expected! Martin.

I am interested to know whether there is a particular requirement for the amount and location of wood for an IOM to be raced in a 'woodie' event. I have a number of variations in my small fleet. E. G. Wooden hull and foredeck with epoxy glass aft deck and epoxy glass hull with wood fore and aft decks.
