Hi John, Thanks for the recommendation, i will look up the spec for regatta winches, but i am not looking to turn the boat into the ultimate speed machine just a reliable boat. Many thanks John, regards David Marten.
I have recently bought a ROK Marblehead which i am refurbishing and replacing all the moving parts.Could anyone suggest a replacment winch which would not need too much adaption to fit the existing holes in the boat. The old winch is an Atlas Standard with a Whirwind 32mm drum , 59mm deep 46mm long 23mm wide, it maybe ok but i would rather not risk it. Regards David Marten.
Hi, Has anyone had the same problem i have ? I have a new carbon keel for my boat and its slimmer than the old keel that its replaceing. When its fitted into the keel box there is a fair bit of movement as there is a gap of about 3-4mm all round the keel shaft to the edge of the slot in the hull.Any ideas of how to fix this problem? Kind regards David Marten.
