Flysky RX not binding following TX firmware upgrade

Featured Replies

I have two Flysky FS-8i tx's and three RX's and following a discusion with an IOM sailer at a IOM open meeting, who was using the same radio gear and had done the firmware upgrade, I decided to do the same on my IOM Tx (not required this week), the firmware upgrade went smoothly until tried to try it out on the IOM where the Rx is now un-binded, tried various methods including FlySky Assistant no joy to bind the IOM TX and RX.

Managed to get my three boats working on my un-upgraded DF95 TX so I can go sailing on Sunday but wondering what to try next as the makers instructions could be more helpful.

Firmware gone from 1.44 to 1.57

Not familiar with the FS-8 but I do know that FlySky have recently introduced a new protocol (ANT) which is not compatible with old Rxs (AFHDS) .  Is it possible that the upgrade is using ANT by default?  Maybe you can choose the protocol somewhere in the setup?

Tried again today and finaly after many attempts got RX3 to bind to the upgraded TX.

Previously (1.44 firmware) the RX bind very quickly first time without any drama.

Anyware thanks for your replay.

PS the RX and TX are all new bought this year.
